Premium EVA Adhesive for flocking applications.
756 EVA Flocking Adhesive is a specially formulated medium viscosity glue for screen printing processes involving flock. It can also be applied by roller, brush or spray. 756 is a water-based polyvinyl alcohol stabilised, vinyl acetate / ethylene copolymer, which air dries (to touch in 10 minutes and completely in 24hrs) producing a flexible, heat-resistant, water-resistant and scrub resistant translucent film.
Aqueous EVA Adhesive is most commonly used for packaging, film lamination. 756 EVA Flocking Adhesive provides excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates. It is therefore suitable for polyester, polystyrene, PVC and coated cellophanes.
There are various ways to apply this adhesive and the following methods can be used (although some will be more successful after the viscosity of the adhesive has been reduced).
• Paint Brush
• Paint Roller
• Spray Gun (may have to adjust the viscosity to suit your spray equipment)
• Screen Printing*
The adhesive must not be applied to any part of the substrate that does not require flocking. Those areas should be covered with a mask or sealed off with masking tape.
*If this is applied by screen printing, ensure that the screen is clean immediately after use.
Adhesive should cover at least 10% of flock fibre length.
The adhesive must be viscose enough to support the flock fibres during the cure.
